Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons melted butter
2 cups buttermilk
3 eggs separated
2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
MUST HAVE AN AEBLESKIVER PAN
1. In a medium bowl beat the egg whites to stiff peaks form, set aside.
2. In a large bowl beat yolks and sugar until well blended.
3. Add all remaining ingredients except whites and beat until smooth.
4. Fold in whites until well blended.
5. Heat your greased aebleskivers pan over medium heat. (It is ready when drops of water sizzle.)
6. Fill each cup with about 1 tablespoon of batter.
7. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on one side, then flip & cook for 2 to 3 minutes on the other.
8. Both sides should be golden brown & a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
9. Serve with toppings if you like & enjoy.
